You can refer friends, family members, coworkers, or anyone who’s eligible for membership with SF Fire Credit Union. Anyone qualifies through CIF membership eligibility option. Check our membership eligibility page for more information. 

Both you and your referred friend will receive a Mastercard® Virtual Reward via email once your friend meets the program requirements. Mastercard® Virtual Rewards are issued to the email address provided at registration to participants who are subscribed to receive marketing emails at the time of reward fulfillment. If the referrer or referred member is not subscribed to receive marketing emails at the time the reward is fulfilled, the qualified reward will be issued via a physical Mastercard® Reward Card mailed to the address on file. Please allow 2-3 weeks after completion of all requirements for delivery of the Mastercard® Virtual Reward. Or 4-6 weeks after completion of all requirements for delivery of a physical Mastercard® Reward Card. Mastercard® Rewards are subject to Terms and Conditions delivered with the reward.

• New member: $100 Mastercard® Virtual Reward after qualification criteria are met 

• Existing member: $50 Mastercard® Virtual Reward for each qualifying referral (up to $500 total per calendar year)

You can use your Mastercard® Virtual Reward for Online, Mail Order, or Phone purchases where Mastercard® is accepted. You may also use your card details to add your Virtual Reward to a mobile wallet. Your purchase total will be deducted from the card balance. 

No, Mastercard® Virtual Rewards are not reloadable. The funds are preloaded on your card and additional funds cannot be added.

You can use your card until the balance is zero or the card has expired. Rewards are valid for three (3) months from the date of issuance.

No, the Virtual Reward Card incentive money is solely received in the form of a Virtual Reward Card that will be delivered to the email you provided during registration.

No, the Mastercard® Virtual Reward may only be used for Online, Mail Order, or Phone purchases anywhere Mastercard is accepted.

If all qualification criteria have been met, the Mastercard® Virtual Reward will be sent to the email address provided during registration who are subscribed to receive marketing emails at the time of reward fulfillment. If the referrer or referred member is not subscribed to receive marketing emails at the time the reward is fulfilled, the qualified reward will be issued via a physical Mastercard® Reward Card mailed to the address on file. No rewards will be sent for processing without the completion of each specific qualification outlined. After the new account is opened and the qualifications are met, it takes approximately 2-3 weeks for the Virtual Reward or 4-6 weeks for the physical Reward Card to be delivered to you. If an excessive amount of time has passed (after a 6 week period) and you still have not received your Virtual Reward, please contact the Customer Service team by email at info@referlive.com or by phone at 615-864-7520. Customer Service hours: Monday – Friday 6:00AM – 2:00PM PST.

Your friend must: 

1. Register using the link provided in the referral email or on social media, and 
2. Join SF Fire Credit Union by opening one of the following: 
   • Share account (Consumer or Business): Checking, Tiered Savings, Money Market, or any Term Certificate; or 
   • Loan product: Credit Card (Consumer or Business), Personal Loan, Home Loan, Home Equity, Vehicle Loan, or Student Loan. 
   • Indirect Loans and Trust/Estate accounts are not eligible for this promotion. 
3. Meet funding requirements: deposit at least $250 into the Share account within 60 days of new membership or have the loan funded within 90 days.

Absolutely! You can make unlimited referrals and earn rewards for each qualified referral – up to $500 per calendar year. See our official program terms for details.

Referral links do not expire. However, once a referred person accepts the invitation and registers using the link, they have 180 days to complete the referral process before it expires.

Unfortunately, referrals without the unique referral link cannot be credited. Please remind your friends to register using the referral link that was provided during the referral.
