We work diligently to protect our members from fraud. One way this is accomplished is by placing a block on your card when we identify unusual activity, which could include a questionably large purchase or a transaction in a city you typically do not visit.
To avoid inconvenience while traveling, please contact us in advance to notify us of your plans. This prevents unnecessary restrictions being placed on your card(s) while traveling. We’ll need to know the dates and destinations that you’re traveling, as well as your contact information during that time.
Avoid Restrictions on Your Card
Notify us in one of the following ways to ensure that you’ll be able to use your debit or credit cards without any restrictions while you are away from home.

International ATM Surcharge Rebates
Members will receive surcharge rebates on their first twelve (12) ATM transactions per calendar month. Please note that international surcharge fees are automatically rebated (like surcharge fees within the U.S.), but in cases where the fees do not get reimbursed due to processing differences on some out-of-country networks or ATMs, please retain a copy of your receipt so that we can process any rebate of a surcharge that fails to refund automatically. The receipt must be presented no later than 60 days after the transaction cycle ending date of the SF Fire Credit Unoin account statement on which the transaction appears.
Please note that any exchange fees do not qualify as ATM surcharges, and a surcharge must be clearly identified on your receipt for us to process the refund.
