Inter Station Competition—Join The League Of The Strong, Cold And Courageous!

All donations go to San Francisco Firefighters Cancer Prevention Foundation

Race Day begins at the South End Club, 500 Jefferson Street [map] at 0630. Swimmers will be ferried to the start line on Fire Boat 1; the race starts at 0805.

Brunch follows after race at 1000.

Awards will be given to first place female and male Category “A” swimmers. A plaque will be awarded to the San Francisco Fire Department Station with largest participation. New to the event this year is a team trophy. A department or group made up of at least three members, who complete the swim with the fastest aggregate time (or for teams with more than three members, the top three times will be taken) will be engraved in this perpetual trophy. All participants will receive a t-shirt memorializing this event.

The San Francisco Firefighters Alcatraz Swim is focused on our public safety community, interdepartmental community and relationships and promoting public safety health and well-being. Come enjoy a one of a kind experience in the beautiful waters of the San Francisco Bay and join another elite group of the cold, the brave and the strong.
